1968:
Jagdish Patel (electrical engineer, London) and Kundan Patel (pharmacist with an artistic eye) founded The Crystal Town in Hyderabad, inspired by the grandeur of the Nizam’s chandeliers.
Early 1970:
Kundan Patel mastered the craft of chandelier proportions and assembly from local experts maintaining royal chandeliers.
1971:
First major commission — Taj Mahal Hotel, Bombay (Crystal Room) with 14 chandeliers (4 large, 10 small, each with 42 lights).
1972:
Oberoi Sheraton, Bombay (now Trident) — 12 chandeliers for the Regal Room with custom-made components.
1973:
Oberoi Grand, Calcutta (Ballroom) — chandeliers made with specially crafted crystals from AGI Hyderabad.
1977:
At age 19, Jayesh Patel manages the chandelier installation at the British Governor’s House, Hong Kong.
1978 – 79:
Projects at Taj Mansingh Delhi (multiple banquet halls and restaurant) and ITC Chola – Madras.

Lighting installations across Dawoodi Bohra mosques in Dahod, Indore, Udaipur, Ratlam, Calcutta, and Galiakot.
2000 – 2003:
Major banquet projects at Hyatt Regency (Delhi, Kolkata), Yak & Yeti (Nepal), and Renaissance Hotel, Powai, Mumbai — including a 40-ft chandelier for a 20,000 sq ft hall.
2002 – 2005:
Installations at Trident Agra, The Leela Kovalam, and Umaid Bhawan Palace, Jodhpur
2006 – 2007:
Renovation and reinstallation at Taj Palace, New Delhi — 25 years after the original chandeliers were installed.

The Crystal Town became The Crystal Shop now known as Kasi Chandeliers under Mr. Jayesh Jagdish Patel.
